Instructions
Prepare the garnish by soaking the almonds and raisins in the rum at room temperature for a few hours.
In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine all the glogg ingredients (except bourbon) and heat to just below the simmering point (about 170 F).
Add the bourbon and simmer (not boil) for about 2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and let stand and steep for one hour.
Strain to remove the fruit and spices and gently reheat the drink.
Add a tablespoon of rum-soaked almonds and raisins to each serving glass, garnish with a slice of orange, and serve.
